The article presents the project of the exposition area for the Botanical garden using plants of natural flora of the Saratov region. Preference is given to local species included in the Red Books of the Russian Federation and the Saratov region, whose representatives live in areas of meadow steppes. Some results of introduction and phenological observations in territory of educational and scientific center “Botanical garden” of Saratov State University are presented for the selected model plants.
